 Probably wasted my time making this thread, but oh well! Any Guild Wars 2 talk is welcome too of course but I don't play that game. |

Nah I dont think its a waste of time. After playing the trial and talking to you I think I will probably get the full game at some point. You'll just have to let me know which server to go on.
I would have preferred to get the Steam versions if possible but I expect I can get the games cheaper elsewhere.

They never come up in the Steam sales, which is a shame.
In the top left corner of the screen there's a drop down box. Click on 'more options' and a window will pop up for you to select other regions. I play on the American one, it's the only busy server now.

I'm going to town tomorrow so I might check in GAME. They used to have Guild Wars stuff in their 3 for £10 or £20 deals if I remember right.

You'll find players where the current bonuses are, though they only ever do hard mode, and you can only unlock that per campaign by completing it. Zaishen missions give double coin rewards this week so there's the chance to group with players there. I did it three times yesterday on different characters, with full or close to full player teams.
Kamadan (first town you come to in Nightfall) is always busy because it's long been the game's trading capital.
But yeah, if you play through the campaigns you'll mostly be doing it alone (with NPC henchmen/heroes that is).

Just done today's Zaishen mission with a group of players. Good team. We blasted through it really quickly, probably the fastest I've ever done that particular mission actually.

No sign of any Guild Wars 1 today in GAME. Not surprising I guess as they're PC section has shrunk quite a bit since the new consoles came out. They did have Guild Wars 2 but I'm not paying £39.99 for it.

GW1 seems to be disappearing from online stores too now. Just a couple of years ago you could still get the collector's editions of Factions and Nightfall, and for reasonable prices.

Lots of people doing today's Zaishen mission again. Hope it means the game is gaining in popularity again. It's an annoying mission though and people keep rage quitting lol. Just took me four attempts with one character and various other player as they came and quitted.  |
