I can't help but feel it's a crying shame that Amazon have bought Double Helix that on the back of Killer Instinct (great game despite it's weird delivery method) and now Strider. They really are the latest Rocksteady, a studio that developed absolute bullshit games and then suddenly came good.
Are there any other developers you can think of that have followed this trend? Who will be the next awful developers to rise from the ashes like a Phoenix.

I thought Killer Instinct got mixed reviews? And do we even know what kind of game Strider is going to be? I don't recall them releasing any screenshots or trailers since them announcing it.
Personally, I still consider them to be a shovelware company, but if they do make some great stuff, then it's hardly a bad thing.
The closest I can think of right now is Next Level Games, but their turds are mixed in with their good stuff, rather than suddenly becoming good.

Strider seemed to be spoken about pretty positively from journalists who played early builds and the reviews that have been coming out today have been pretty positive from what I've seen.
I can only go by the Giant Bomb chat but they were really surprised and happy with Killer Instinct, Jeff in particular as he really never liked the original.

I guess Killer Instinct was better than anyone felt it had any right to be. Strider is a remake of the old games with a more metroidvania slant. Yeah Next Level Games are a hot and cold company.
