Just to be 100% correct this ties in with greater Marvel Movie Universe? Also am I right in thinking we've seen things that have slightly alluded to this more intergalactic plot?

The Collector (who can be seen in this trailer) was in an after-credits scene in Thor 2. I'm guessing that this will link with the Infinity Stones, which are 6 powerful artefacts that can be combined with the Infinity Gauntlet for immense power (the Tesseract and Aether are two of these). |

We also saw the Infinity Gauntlet in Thor 1 in their weapons vault. Not sure if that will tie in though now that they have changed the nature of the gems for the movie universe.
