So Nintendo are going to concentrate on the gamepad and push to make it the most indispensable piece of hardware ever!!!!!!!! What kind of experiences would you like to see? What ideas do you have that would be amazing? What ideas have Nintendo shown off but not delivered on?

I honestly dont know what I would want from it. Im not the biggest fan of second screen gaming so I dont know what I would need from it that I cant just get from normal gaming.
It would be nice to be surprised though and have Nintendo come up with something completely unique that changes my mind.

Ditch it, go back to motion controls, and get it right this time!

God no, keep motion controls away from gaming! You've made me think about an entire different subject there....why are we as gamers so resistant to new methods of immersion surely the gamepad is not the be all and end all? We will never get haptic motion gloves with VR or the holy grail of the holodeck if we don't embrace the steps towards that direction!!!!

I dont think we are. Im always hearing people all excited to try the Oculus Rift and I myself was interested to try motion controls with the Wii. I tried them, I hated them, I dont want to have to keep using them.

I like motion controls (as you know!) It's the lame controls developers designed for their games (waggling!) that gave motion controls a bad name. It doesn't have to be like that. A Razer Hydra type controller with an optical pointer would be perfect. It would be in keeping with traditional controls - something the Wii remote largely did away - but also have the additional motion controls.

As much as you say that I've still heard plenty of people saying the press are making a big dealer of Oculus Rift and that 2014 won't be the year of the Oculus.

God no, keep motion controls away from gaming! Actually, I thought the motion controls (and GamePad usage) was done extremely well in Wind Waker. You could still use the sticks, but I found myself quickly aiming a lot with the GamePad.

Can Wind Waker on Wii U be played with Wii remote and nunchuk, like Twilight Princess?

Can Wind Waker on Wii U be played with Wii remote and nunchuk, like Twilight Princess? Don't think so....just pro controller and gamepad.

*Cancels Wii U and Wind Waker HD order You can ignore those features or use a Pro Pad thing. I'd recommend trying them. The GamePad features are simple, but they may change your mind about the whole thing.

I've done aiming like that before. Its probably one of the more inoffensive uses of motion controls in games but I still dont like it.
