I'm looking forward to that the new team can do - they seem to have some good talent, so this should be an interesting take on Sonic.

The sad thing is that I think the game could actually look quite good from what that trailer shows, I just dont like the character designs.

 Gives it a slightly Sonic Heroes vibe? A game I actually didn't mind all too much! I do wonder if they are somehow going to mix more Jax elements with it. Might not be a bad thing seem as the run fast in 3D only seems to work so far. EDIT: Also it's running on CryEngine 3?! |

The design for Sonic in the images and cartoon trailer isn't that bad but there's something wrong with his face the first time you see him in the game trailer.

In that particular shot, his mouth is in the middle of his face. Elsewhere it's to one side as usual.

They have made knuckles that tall and 'bulky' up top that he makes it look like he skipped all his leg days in the gym...

The pic below shows a much better example of what they should have done in keeping with the general style of the other characters:  I wonder if they going to play on his ability to dig through walls more than his ability to glide (leaving the flying to Tails) and that's why they made him look stronger than the rest. |

Yeah, I think each character is going to have there own 'ability' that compliment each other. Sonic is clearly going to be speed. Knuckles is going to be strength, like digging, maybe lifting heavy objects? Tails seem very mechanic like, maybe some gadgets? And then there is Amy.......
